The Opportunity
Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.
The position of Manufacturing Support Clerk III is within our CMI business unit located in California. Supports the Production Manager and the Operations team with administrative functions by maintaining records, compiling and generating daily, weekly and monthly reports, and to providing a variety of other personnel and general related tasks. Expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. Compiles and records production data for industrial establishment to prepare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of raw material, quality control, and other aspects of production. Performing any combination of following duties as processing customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual-worker production sheets, following prescribed recordkeeping procedures, using computer terminal, and writing instruments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate and work with Quality Assurance and manufacturing Team Leads on daily production priorities
- Request manufacturing documentation required based on the production schedule
- Prepare manufacturing documentation prior to use, including work orders, batch records and bill of materials
- Compiles and records production data from work orders, batch records and bill of materials
- Following production, review batch records and bill of materials for completeness and accuracy
- Verify and maintain material inventory forms and sample request forms
- Process manufacturing inventory transactions manually and electronically
- Maintain manufacturing inventory organizes and maintains accurate records of manufacturing inventory data and information, perform inventory restocking, perform inventory acceptance sampling, perform inventory cycle count, ensure all inventory is clearly labeled
- Maintain product labeling: printing, ensuring accuracy and legibility, development of new labels, maintaining label master, stock label materials, perform printer maintenance
- Maintains manufacturing equipment log files
- Maintains manufacturing production log, maintenance log and calibration log files
- Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry and answering telephones
- Interact in a team-based work environment, participating in meetings, reviews, metric reviews, etc.
- Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness Abbott Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Perform other duties & projects as assigned.
- Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring some judgment
- Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job; has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite including excel spreadsheets
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must be detail-orientated, self-motivated and able to work independently or team environment
- Good understanding of manufacturing systems (documentation, compliance, inventory control, production scheduling/controls, etc.)
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out assignments in a timely, accurate manner and accomplishing tasks as required with little or no supervision.
- Able to work on multiple tasks as a team member and/or ability to operate as an individual contributor
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to handle multiple tasks and must present exceptional prioritizing and organization skills.
- Knowledge of regulations (FDA, ISO, OSHA, etc.)
- Experience working in a GMP environment

The base pay for this position is
$17.90 – $35.80/hour
