About the Role

The Workday Mobile App team is looking for a Sr. Product Manager. As a Sr. Product Manager in the Mobile team, you will develop and drive medium to long-term product strategy for our Workday mobile apps. You will evangelize that strategy to our customers, partners, and internal teams. You will build and maintain close relationships with our customers to understand and evaluate their needs as inputs to strategy. You will research the market and trends to recommend new capabilities that innovatively improve our experience. You will influence our go-to-market activities, and act as the "voice" of our strategy/roadmap for various external audiences.

Core Responsibilities:
 

Develop and evangelize Workday’s Mobile App Strategy

  • Research market, trends, and competitive landscape

  • Partner with design to create mobile-first visions for key workstreams

  • Socialize the strategy internally and externally (sales, customers, analysts, Apps teams)

  • Become an expert in Frontline Workforce and their industries to drive relevant innovation


Data-Driven Mentality & Leadership

  • Leverage data to guide decision making, validate hypotheses, and measure success of initiatives

  • Mentor and influence PMs across the mobile org, fostering a culture of data driven decisions
     

Drive Mobile Adoption

  • Take a holistic view of adoption, using usage data, customer feedback, and support trends to spot the biggest blockers for our mobile users

  • Work with Inbound PMs to prioritize the right improvements to ensure all adoption blockers are addressed 

  • Partner with Mobile Outbound team to amplify adoption externally through customer facing sessions and performance insights, keeping a tight loop between product enhancements and market impact

Customer & Field Engagement

  • Lead CXC and field presentations for mobile strategy

  • Serve as the voice of mobile strategy to prospects and customers

  • Gather feedback to influence roadmap and strategy
     

Strategic Project Leadership

  • Lead mobile OKRs and cross-functional initiatives (ex: operational planning)

  • Coordinate backlog inputs with Mobile Experience, Platform, OPM, and CXP teams
     

Cross-functional Influence

  • Translate strategy into actionable proposals for engineering and PM teams

  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Marketing to align on a mobile-first vision across Workday

  • Influence the strategic direction of our app teams by advocating for and implementing mobile-first initiatives!

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in product management or product strategy

  • Experience working on mobile applications

  • Experience developing well-researched, data-supported, product and business strategies

  • Experience working cross functionally to drive implementation of strategy

Other Qualifications:

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

  • Comfortable working between highly technical and non technical teams

  • Strong product proficiency with a passion for driving toward customer value and business impact

  • Experience working with enterprise customers in a B2B environment

  • Knowledge of Workday sales and go to market functions preferred

  • Ability to think about problems from different perspectives and leverage data driven analysis to drive strategic roadmap development and prioritization

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or equivalent 


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
