Job Title:                                             Zone Engineer Production

Job Description:          

Airgas USA LLC seeks Zone Engineer Production to work in Houston, Texas to complete the job duties below. Must put job code R10066620 on resume and cover letter.

  • Provide engineering support to the zone production plants.

  • Promote compliance with all applicable regulations and Group directives. Champion company safety, technical and quality procedures.

  • Assist Plants with implementing and following Group, Division and Entity specific procedures.

  • Assist Plant Managers in the resolution of technical and operational issues. 

  • Assist Plant Managers in the investigation of operational incidents, the development of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Participate in the creation, updates and reviews of PHAs, P&IDs, MOCs and SOPs. Active participation in plant reliability teams.

  • Work on plant efficiency evaluations and monitoring to drive down production cost or increase throughput.

  • Monitor plant performance and drive improvements.

  • Assist with equipment component repair specifications necessary to improve efficiency and reliability.

  • Work on minor projects (upgrades and retrofits as well as plant improvements and expansions) at existing locations.

  • Develop designs, cost estimates, and economic justifications to facilitate the decision-making process at the plant and zone levels.

  • Generate authorization for capital requests and follow-up on the approval process.

  • Participate in project execution with the Plant Manager so that the end result meets the original requirements, in a timely manner and within budget. 

  • Participate in a collaborative work effort and balance financial goals with support for the organization.

  • Serve as Operations Representative, participate in the design and execution phases of new Corporate level projects to ensure that operational concerns are addressed during design, construction and commissioning.

Are you a MATCH?

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Science Chemical.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: 2 years of operational or engineering experience working with operation and maintenance of Air Separation Units, Carbon Dioxide, VSA or Oxygen/Nitrogen Generation plants.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 20% domestic travel.
