Mechanical Analysis Co-Op (Dynamic Analysis)

The successful candidate will use a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques in solving problems.

Location: Mississauga, ON

When: September 2024 (12 - 16 Months)

Your Challenges:

  • Assists senior engineers in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed testing, analysis, design, or computation methods.

  • Safely secure helicopters onto naval ships, many factors shall be considered including non-linear time dependent ship motion, ship headings and speeds, rotor forces, non-linear suspension dynamics, and various other parameters.

  • Develop the analytical tools to account for new design parameters inherent to a customer’s specific requirements.

  • The modelling approach must be adapted to the proposed helicopter and ship system and be able to produce particular results as requested by the customer. 

  • The project also investigates different benchmark measurements and graphic interpretation of the operating limits, which may lead to expanding helicopter operational profile onboard particular ship type.

Your Expertise:

  • Successful candidate shall have taken structural dynamic courses.

  • Proficient with Excel

  • Second year or better in Mechanical or Aerospace program. 

  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
