Role Summary

The Data & Analytics Specialist will be working closely with the Business Optimization Team which is a team based in the Baarn office and responsible for all offices in Europe. This team advances the business through the implementation of solution sets using a combination of technology, data and process changes. The role will supporting primary operations with reporting, workflow or automation requests/enhancements. Cerberus operates in Microsoft eco-system and most of the solutions are build using Microsoft tools and offerings.

The role needs a technical, proactive and customer focused individual who is solution-orientated and works well as part of a global team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. In the role you will also work closely with other developers and IT specialist who are in USA and UK.

Your Role & Impact

  • Business Collaboration - Partner with business teams to understand processes, data and identify automation opportunities. Lead requirement gathering sessions, develop proof-of-concepts for innovative solutions and deliver user training to ensure successful adoption.

  • Development & Delivery - Design Power BI data models and interactive visualizations. Collaborate with data engineering to create SQL views and ensure data availability. Use Fabric notebooks/pipelines for orchestration, API integration, and analysis. Optimize legacy reports with advanced DAX and Power Query. Build workflows using Power Automate and Microsoft Fabric

  • Agile & DevOps - Apply agile methodologies including sprint planning and retrospectives. Manage version control using Git and Azure DevOps.

  • AI-Powered Development - Leverage AI tools (Azure AI Foundry, MCP agents) to automate tasks and accelerate delivery. Apply agentic workflows for enhanced productivity.

  • Quality & Support - Follow Power BI/Fabric best practices for stable environments. Document technical requirements and specifications. Support UAT and train non-technical users. Maintain existing Power BI solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 - 6 years of dedicated experience as a BI Developer or Data Analyst, with Power BI as the primary tool.

  • Expertise in authoring DAX expressions to create calculated tables, calculated columns, and measures, as well as the ability to write and format complex DAX formulas to model objects, constants, and variables.

  • Expert understanding of dimensional modelling, relational data bases in enterprise data warehouse environments.

  • In-depth knowledge of using Power BI Desktop, Report Builder, the Power BI Service, Fabric Dataflow/Pipeline and Fabric Notebook.

  • Proficient in writing SQL queries in a SQL Server environment.

  • Understanding of Row-Level Security and Incremental Refresh in context of Power BI and SQL Server.

  • Ability to design and implement AI agents that automate repetitive development tasks, such as code generation, testing, documentation, and data quality checks.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with non-technical business users.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Strong inclination towards financial reporting with understanding of balance sheets, P&L statements, cash flow, and core finance processes

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, or similar field.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate strongly desired.

  • Knowledge of basic Power BI administration at the tenant settings.

  • Python skills are a plus.

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services, especially Capital Markets and Asset Management experience is a plus.

Location and Hours

In-office presence required for at least three days a week. The role is based in the Baarn office, the Netherlands.

Employment Condition

  • The position is for 40 hours per week

  • Salary range: EUR 70,000 – EUR 90,000 gross per year, depending on relevant experience, plus a bonus of approximately 15%

  • In addition to the gross salary, the employee is entitled to reimbursement of travel expenses (EUR 0.23 per kilometer), a working-from-home allowance (EUR 2.45 per day), and a net expense allowance based on job level (EUR 1,200 per year)

  • 25 vacation days per year

  • Disability insurance fully paid by the employer

  • Employer-paid pension contribution (8%), including survivor’s pension and ANW gap insurance

  • The employment contract will initially be entered into for a fixed term of one year

  • Restrictions apply with regard to personal investments
