Job Description: CAD Associate

Location: This position will be based in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain 3D electrical CAD models, including routing of electrical wire harnesses using tools such as SolidWorks Electrical / 3D CAD platforms
• Create and update detailed 2D electrical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing documentation using AutoCAD or equivalent tools
• Design and optimize electrical wiring harness layouts, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with engineering standards
• Collaborate with mechanical and systems teams to integrate electrical components within 3D assemblies
• Support BOM generation, drawing releases, and engineering change documentation (ECR/ECO)
• Ensure adherence to design standards, documentation practices, and quality requirements
• Basic understanding of Ferrule, Heat shrink, connectors and cables.
• Maintain Electrical CAD library.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong proficiency in 3D Electrical CAD tools (SolidWorks Electrical / equivalent)
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D electrical drawings
• Experience in wire harness design, routing, and documentation
• Exposure to PLM tools (e.g., Agile, Teamcenter, Windchill)
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles for electrical systems

Degree and Qualification:

• Foundation Degree / Diploma / in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• Training in SolidWorks Electrical Professional (Schematic & 3D Routing)
• Certification or coursework in AutoCAD Electrical / Electrical Drafting
