GENERAL SUMMARY
Provides project support and coordination of all aspects of energy and professional services projects/programs as directed. Acts as a specialist for specific projects/programs with detailed knowledge of planning, scheduling, and control of project/program activities. Maintains a knowledge base of new developments and technology. Monitors projects/programs and recommends changes to improve operating efficiency. Monitors budgetary estimates and changes.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABIITIES
Under minimal supervision, performs a broad range of assigned functions within the accountabilities below. Acts as a subject matter expert on multiple functions.
Provide administrative project support to Project Development Coordinators and Project Developers as assigned
Interacting – Interacts with EN members, business unit representatives, regulatory agencies, outside vendors, contractors, and support personnel in carrying out various activities. Champions Energy Northwest core values in all interactions and activities, always safeguarding Energy Northwest’s interests while focusing on customer service.
Monitoring – Monitors proposal data and budgets, prepares reports as necessary for project output finances, oversees project/program participants and members.
Coordinating – Coordinates a multitude of activities including project scheduling, contract and material requisitions, proposal and grant submittals, bids/estimations, and field support.
Planning – Works with various EN departments and personnel to establish and promote implementation plans. Engages support resources as needed.
Scheduling – Assures schedules are developed and maintained. Assures proper progress and focus through frequent interface with support personnel, related parties, and/or supervision and regulations including FERC, NERC, WECC, etc.
Compliance – Ensures compliance with regulations including NERC Reliability Standards. Ensures compliance with EMS requirements.
Controlling – Conducts periodical project and program reviews. When a deviation occurs, communicates variances and assists in the implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
May be assigned to support members in technical duties for specified periods of time. This will include work at member facilities.
Managing – With direct oversight, may manage small-medium size programs or projects as assigned.
Managing – Act in a lead role and provide oversight to support personnel in pursuit of goals and objectives.
Public Relations – Supports representing Energy Services and Development at conferences, supporting setting up and managing the Energy Northwest booth. Schedules and conducts tours. Represents Energy Northwest on training advisory committee.
Support the Public Power Forum on the planning committee.
Support the biennial refueling outage as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Energy Service Specialist III
A Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university and six years of experience providing in-depth assistance with program or project management;
OR an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and eight years of experience providing in-depth assistance with program or project management;
OR requires High School Diploma/GED and at least ten years of experience providing in-depth assistance with program or project management.
Energy Service Specialist II
A Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university and three years of experience providing in-depth assistance with program or project management.
OR An Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience providing in-depth assistance with program or project management.
OR requires High School Diploma/GED and at least seven years of experience providing in-depth assistance with program or project management.
Energy Services Specialist I
A Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
OR an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience providing assistance with program or project management support activities.
OR requires High School Diploma/GED and at least four years of experience providing assistance with program or project management support activities.
Energy Service Specialist III Salary: $106,670 - $160,006
Midpoint: $133,338
Energy Service Specialist II Salary: $92,750 - $139,124
Midpoint: $ 115,937
Energy Service Specialist I Salary: $80,704 - $121,056
Midpoint: $100,880
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
