We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to establish and lead a Regulatory Intelligence capability within the General Counsel Risk & Compliance function. This role will focus on developing a comprehensive framework to analyze the global regulatory landscape and identify relevant regulations, considering our diverse product portfolio and market presence.

About the role

In this opportunity as Director Regulatory Intelligence, you will:

  • Build and lead the regulatory intelligence capability, defining strategic goals as well as operational processes.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards across the globe.
  • Develop a system for tracking, assessing, and prioritizing regulatory changes that impact product groups and the different segments.
  • Provide actionable insights and disseminate regulatory reports to cross-functional teams to drive adherence to the existing and changing regulatory requirements, and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, regulatory bodies, external peers and internal stakeholders to anticipate changes and understand trends.
  • Evaluate internal and external tools, data, and resources to aid in the building and evolution of the program.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Director Regulatory Intelligence, if your background includes:

  • Proven experience in building a regulatory intelligence program, regulatory relations, compliance, preferably in either technology or regulated industry.
  • Deep knowledge of global regulatory environments, particularly related to product groups and market entry.
  • Excellent analytical and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to design, implement and operationalize new capabilities at an enterprise level.
  • Strong leadership skills, mentor, and coach a small to medium-sized team, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and excellence in service delivery.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Law, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or Juris Doctor (J.D.) strongly preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), or similar certifications are highly desirable.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in regulatory compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership and people management role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and applying complex regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in regulatory research, methodologies, and tools.
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience in implementing large-scale compliance programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify and present complex, actionable material to internal stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations.
  • Experience with AI, regulatory technology solutions, and data analytics tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of integrity.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus, particularly those relevant to key markets.
