What the Role Entails

As Tencent Cloud International continues expanding across Southeast Asia, we are seeking passionate and driven undergraduate students to join our Malaysia team as Business Development Interns. This role provides hands-on exposure to cloud sales in the Malaysia market, supporting prospecting efforts, industry research, and customer engagement initiatives. You will work closely with experienced sales professionals to understand Tencent Cloud’s product portfolio, competitive positioning, and go-to-market strategies within the local and regional landscape. Through structured guidance and real-world engagement, you will develop essential skills that lay the foundation for a successful career in cloud sales and business development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and gather customer insights across key industries in Malaysia such as financial services, retail, gaming, internet, and enterprise sectors
  • Identify and approach potential customers through multiple outreach channels including email, calls, social platforms, and event participation
  • Collect and analyze customer IT infrastructure and cloud adoption information to support opportunity qualification and pipeline development
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and support sales pipeline tracking and reporting
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to support outbound campaigns, events, and industry engagement activities
  • Assist in preparing sales materials, value propositions, and preliminary solution discussions under guidance from senior sales team members

Who We Look For

  • Undergraduate or graduate students graduating in end of 2026 to 2027 with a strong interest in pursuing a career in cloud sales or business development
  • Open to full-time conversion by end of 2027 subject to performance and business needs
  • Able to commit to a minimum 3-month full-time internship internship
  • Strong interest in technology, cloud computing, and digital transformation trends within Malaysia and Southeast Asia
  • Proactive, adaptable, and entrepreneurial mindset with strong learning agility
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese Mandarin at business proficiency level to engage with internal and external stakeholders
