Essential Responsibilities
Lead mechanical engineering activities for drivetrain subsystem integration, including gearbox, gearbox cooling system, and shrink disc / low speed shaft coupling.
Define, document, and manage physical and non-physical interfaces across adjacent systems and assemblies.
Own subsystem scope and component definition for gearbox internals, externals, auxiliaries, cooling system hardware, and coupling hardware.
Drive technical alignment across systems, controls, structures, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and service teams.
Develop and maintain interface documentation, technical requirements, design definitions, and engineering change records.
· Identify and resolve interface risks, integration gaps, and design conflicts.
Support design reviews, validation activities, root cause investigations, and product improvement efforts.
· Ensure designs meet requirements for performance, reliability, safety, maintainability, and manufacturability.
Mentor engineers and support execution to program milestones, cost targets, and quality objectives
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
3+ years' experience in mechanical engineering, subsystem design, or product integration.
· Demonstrated experience leading technical workstreams or owning complex mechanical assemblies.
Strong understanding of mechanical interface management and systems integration.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience with wind turbine drivetrain systems, gearbox systems, cooling systems, or shaft coupling assemblies.
Familiarity with nacelle integration and large rotating equipment.
Experience with design validation, DFMEA, root cause analysis, and engineering change management.
Experience with CAD and product lifecycle management tools.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
