Department: Fulfillment Operations

Location: Las Vegas, NV highly preferred (Will consider Phoenix and West Coast Operations)

Position Description

The strategic Sr. Director, Fulfillment Operations will have full accountability for all operations, customer service, leadership, safety, employee morale, and continuous improvement for a high-volume fulfillment center and will support other locations and projects to achieve business objectives. This position will oversee day-to-day operations and fully account for all financial performance results. This role will ensure that the most efficient and effective processes are practiced while working with clients to meet their business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction for the fulfillment teams
  • Provides strategic support and leadership to additional sites and/projects
  • Creates and manages the location(s) financial budget; Includes multiple clients and may include multiple sites
  • Uses a collaborative approach, continuously evaluates, measures, and refines processes to improve service, quality, and efficiency
  • Achieves client success through direct communication and interactions, managing SLA attainment, and providing rapid responses and/or action plans to concerns
  • Strategic alignment contributions outlined by senior leadership to include: Solutioning & Pricing, Contract Reviews, Client Business Reviews, and Internal Stakeholder Meetings
  • Incorporates LEAN practices and methodologies
  • Improves employee satisfaction through improved working conditions, proactive communication, and prompt reaction to concerns
  • Provides strategic leadership and guidance to develop, coach, and mentor staff
  • Provides prompt and accurate reporting in alignment with Saddle Creek Logistics Services’ financial reporting standards and client accounting expectations
  • Works closely with business development team to support new client solutions, pricing, facility tours, and client presentations
  • Identifies new business opportunities and implements new solutions within the existing customer base
  • Manages value-added services, which may include call center, reverse logistics, kitting, and assembly solutions
  • Manages relationships with vendors and corporate cross-functional teams
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Maintains strong safety and facility cleanliness programs in compliance with all OSHA and company requirements
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of systems, including WMS, CRM, OMS, TMS, etc.
  • Leads and supports the implementation of new and upgraded systems as required
  • 20% - 30% overnight travel to support other locations with operations leadership, projects, implementations, new business discussions, and other related activities

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required - preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field
  • Must have 7-10+ years of leadership experience, 5 of which must be in a multi-channel order fulfillment business environment
  • Prior experience with order fulfillment automation and technology required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have working knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Order Management Systems (OMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and parcel management systems
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of business financial management (budgets, profit, and loss, forecasting/planning)
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to perform complex business analysis, critical thinking, and informed decision making
  • Ability to think critically about existing processes and technology solutions
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze and adequately interpret policies and contracts
  • Ability to travel 20% - 30%
