Job Summary:

Catalyst by Wellstar is an innovation company and venture fund, built and operated within a healthcare ecosystem, to design, build, and drive emerging solutions into the healthcare industry. The Catalyst Internship Program is purposely designed to work within the Industry Discovery and Venture function to source, inform, vet, and drive new ideas throughout the different verticals Catalyst operates in. Catalyst has six strategic focus areas: Digital Health, Sustainability, Future of Work, Customer Experience, Data & Security, Supply Chain and Mobility. As the Catalyst Venture intern, you will work on a variety of projects and tasks to support the Industry Discovery & Venture team in achieving our respective goals. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and develop skills that will prepare you for a successful career in research and venture. Key responsibilities include: - Assist with discovery of new startups for potential investment and/or partnerships. - Conduct research within our six focus areas. - Assist with due diligence on potential investments, including researching competitors and analyzing market trends. - Prepare reports and presentations of research. - Attend weekly All Hands meetings and any others as assigned. - Support other related projects and tasks duties as needed

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Utilize research tools and available network to discover new startups for potential investment and/or partnerships Collaborate with deal flow team on due diligence for potential investments, including but not limited to market size and competitive advantage Conduct thorough research within our six focus areas: Digital Health, Sustainability, Future of Work, Data/Analytics/Security, Customer Experience, and Supply Chain/Logistics/Mobility Prepare landscape reports and slide decks for presentation of relevant research Develop competitive market maps on startups of potential investment Research industry and cross-industry landscapes, emerging trends, and competitive landscape for companies and problems identified in the discovery process Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

High school diploma Final year of Bachelor program or enrolled in Masters program in Business, Healthcare, Finance, or a field relating to one of our six focus areas: Digital Health, Sustainability, Customer Experience, Future of Work, Supply Chain/Logistics/Mobility, and Data/Analytics/Security

    Minimum GPA of 3.0 Interest in and basic understanding of venture capital, startups, and/or corporate innovation Medium Contribute ideas, creative thinking and suggestion with team members Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint High Strong written and verbal communication skills
