Physician Assistant - Palliative Care - Days

The Department of Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist houses the largest medical department as well as its own medical residency program. The Division of geriatrics and palliative care provides NYP’s “Healthy Aging Services” to the elderly population while managing critical pain and chronic symptoms. The Palliative care team is a comprehensive interdisciplinary team of physicians, NPs, PAs, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and includes dieticians, psychologists, and physical therapists.

The Department of PA Services seeks a full-time inpatient Palliative Care PA to help cover a growing consult service. PAs serve as the front-line provider on geriatric, palliative, and hospice patient panels.

Shift coverage is Monday – Friday 9 AM - 5 P with shared holiday and weekend coverage.

Preferred Criteria

-At least two year’s experience in hospital medicine with significant geriatric exposure

Required Criteria

-Bachelor’s or Masters in Physician Assistant related studies

-NYS PA Licensure

-Current NCCPA Certification

-ACLS/BLS

-NYS Infection Control certification

-DEA Certification with NYS Opioid Prescriber training compliance

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

$63.16-$84.35/Hourly
