Job Summary
This ULearn Program Manager role for Technology Learning & Development assumes ownership of day-to-day management of content, design and product development. This position will work in collaboration with Engagement leads, leadership, and business subject matter experts to oversee and influence learning solutions and development initiatives. These initiatives will ensure that Comcast technologists and their leaders are equipped with the skills they need to build our technical and competitive future.Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Understands the business, consults with Comcast Engineering leadership and HR business partners to assess needs, co-create development strategies to eliminate skill gaps, and support business initiatives
Partners closely with teammates within ULearn Engagement and solutions to ensure alignment in design and development guidelines and ULearn development practices.
Demonstrates ownership and accountability for learning outcomes
Leads the Knowledgefest program for ULearn, being responsible for leading a cross functional project team to manage the planning and execution of the event globally, and ensures all organizations are equally represented during the decision-making activities
Manages and curates educational resources for AI Forward, ensuring alignment with ULearn’s AI learning strategy.
Manages and curates educational resources for Tech Forward, supporting ULearn’s mission to equip technologists with emerging skills.
Helps regularly audit the Tech Learn ecosystem learning catalog to ensure the content remains current and aligned with business objectives
Builds and maintains relationships with business partners to understand and anticipate learning needs for the workforce creating a reciprocal dialogue as a learning partner
Provides proactive advisory consultation based on changing business and talent development requirements
Acts intentionally to find answers, offer solutions, and move work forward
Partners with the ULearn engagement leads to ensure that content strategies are prioritized based on business needs and provides critical input that may lead to the refresh or maintenance of existing products
Connects learning strategy to business and talent strategy
Functions with a good level of autonomy to own solutions and work with teams on more complex projects
May be responsible for leading a team but does not directly manage people
Creates and delivers business impact stories and ROI
Demonstrates financial stewardship
Stays current with external trends on learning and development best practices
Establishes clarity with teammates, and business partners on expectations, ownership, and next steps
Desired knowledge & competencies
Experience with implementation of talent development and learning programs
Demonstrated knowledge of digital learning tools and platforms as well as (v)ILT modalities
Experience with project and product management
Data-Driven decision making with the ability to frame options to optimize for alternate (or specific) outcomes
Proven presentation and communications skills
Consulting experience (internal or external) highly desired
Strong business acumen
Understanding of latest adult learning theory
Experience resolving conflicts over complex issues
Ability to display a commitment to promoting team spirit and working collaboratively to achieve team goals
Learns fast, is adaptable.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Approximately 3-5 years of experience in Learning and Development or equivalent
Demonstrated passion for learning and development, evidenced in part by a history of personal learning and development efforts
Experience coordinating learning programs for others and delivering education to technical/professional audiences.
Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively partner with executives and others across several functions.
Ability to work with IT and/or system developers/administrators to identify technological applications or constraints and leverage technology to achieve desired results
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal/written communication skills
