Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Engine and Engine Component Product Engineering team.  This team delivers all phases of the NPI (New Product Introduction) process to support the aftermarket for the entire Caterpillar engine product line.  This position will plan, direct and lead engineering staff and activities to ensure projects, initiatives and processes meet deliverables and comply with established policies/practices.
 

What You Will Do:

  • Providing leadership to create and maintain processes used to remanufacture components and engines that meet or surpass Quality targets and reduce manufacturing cost by improving core yield and thus reducing new parts usage.     
  • Managing engineering product and manufacturing process or quality issues, from concept through end of life-cycle.
  • Understand the role of Remanufactured Products in the overall Caterpillar product support strategy to guide the development and positioning of successful products to meet top line sales targets.
  • Managing the engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on organizational goals achievement, professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and continuously improving product and process performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.
  • Address product development, capacity, costs, quality, and supplier development.

Degree Requirement

  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum

What You Will Have:
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

Moderate travel (15% - 25% of working time) as required for customer/dealer/supplier visits and leadership of Engineering teams at production facilities.

Summary Pay Range:

$172,630.00 - $258,950.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
