Better and fairer care. Always.
St Vincent's has been a leader in Australia's health and aged care landscape for more than 165 years. Since our founders, the Sisters of Charity, opened our first hospital in 1857, our services and nearly 30,000 people have been behind some of Australia's most important medical breakthroughs. We are a microcosm of Australia’s health and aged care system and are uniquely positioned to lead and respond to our rapidly changing environment.
We are looking for a special kind of person - a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts excellence, compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.
As the Senior Systems Engineer, you will be at the core of our digital operations, designing, securing, and optimising our vital compute and storage infrastructure for maximum reliability and availability across our healthcare network.
You will be hands-on in the daily administration of our server and storage environment, ensuring smooth operation 24/7. You will also contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our core infrastructure, including server virtualisation and storage solutions. We are seeking a technical specialist to provide guidance across our IT infrastructure and take ownership of technical issues related to our core IT systems. You will manage and maintain Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Cohesity backups, VMware environments, file services, scripting and automation, system patching, vulnerability remediation, and DR/BCP strategies.
We have two new and exciting opportunities available, one position is a full-time permanent role, while the other is a 12-month contract. You can be based in any of our Group Head Offices in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, and will be required to participate in an on-call roster outside of business hours.
