About the role

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Director of Product to lead a dynamic team focused on building a comprehensive digital home buying transaction experience. In this pivotal role, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution necessary to connect various aspects of the home buying process, inclusive of real estate and financing.

As the Senior Director, you will lead a team of talented product managers and collaborate with cross-functional partners to innovate within an operationally intensive industry. While prior experience in real estate or financing is not required, a credentialed background as an innovative technologist with documented experience in AI application is essential. You will bring together disparate parts of the organization, fostering collaboration to achieve a bold vision while navigating the practical realities of building technology alongside operations.

With a focus on iterative development, you will ensure that our product strategy is pragmatic and aligned with high-quality standards, driving well-coordinated execution toward shared outcomes and a bold vision of the future of home buying.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead product innovation: Direct the development of an end-to-end digital home buying transaction experience that effectively integrates home buying services including real estate, and home financing.

  • Strategic vision: Define and communicate a clear product strategy that aligns with organizational goals and drives innovation across all teams involved in the transaction process.

  • Collaborative leadership: Build and mentor a strong team of product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.

  • Operational excellence: Work closely with operations, engineering, and design teams to ensure that technology solutions effectively meet the needs of the business and enhance customer experiences.

  • AI integration: Leverage your expertise in AI to innovate and optimize the home buying transaction process, ensuring that our solutions are both cutting-edge and practical.

  • Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to create alignment and drive the execution of shared objectives.

  • Iterative development: Emphasize building iteratively toward a bold vision, balancing innovative thinking with the pragmatism needed for successful implementation.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $263,000.00 - $420,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

  • Proven leadership: Significant experience leading and managing teams of principal and director level product managers, including the formation of new product teams.

  • Understanding of logistics: Proven record of building products and strategies that seamlessly enable and enforce operational processes. This encompasses managing smooth transitions between automated systems and human operators when necessary.

  • Business acumen: Strong business insight with the ability to align product strategies with organizational goals and customer needs.

  • People leadership: A proven ability to build strong teams, mentor talent, and cultivate a motivating environment that encourages growth and collaboration.

  • Collaboration skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Pragmatic vision: A balanced approach to innovation that values bold vision alongside practical realities, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
