About the Role

• Responsible for facilitating on-track progress and supporting program governance, tracking, and budgeting for assigned initiatives
• Reinforce and execute the PMO governance (both strategic and non-strategic)
• Ensure quality of project deliverables per PMO framework and standards.
  • Review business case and facilitate approval process with insightful comments on business justification and implementation approach

  • Maintain project pipeline and new project/project change requests from various groups and business entities

  • Prepare project proposal /cost estimation for budget review and approvals

  • Ensure project management standards are being executed across the PMO team

  • Organize monthly Steering committee meeting with management to report and facilitate project governance in line with project governance standard

  • Conduct induction program to new PM for project management life cycle and reporting/governance framework

  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

  • Assist in management of project resources (e.g. monitor manpower committed to workstreams) to deliver project outcomes

  • Coordinate, track and report on cost management; manage the budget of projects to ensure effective allocation of resources

  • Drafting new and improving existing PMO policies and processes

  • Drive improvements into the PMO program and ensure industry best practices are leveraged

  • Sharing best practices/success stories and proper project document repository

  • Work closely with internal support team and ensure compliance to AIA guidelines and policies

Job Requirements :

Education

  • University graduate in computer science or other relevant discipline

Experience

  • A minimum of 8+ years’ experience performing project management role on complex projects

  • Proficient in Project Delivery Lifecycle - Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM

  • Experience managing an IT Program or Project Management Office

  • Experience in a supervisory or management position

  • Experience managing external partner relationships and contract staff

  • Strong trait in people management and coordination work including processes on policies and documentations

Certifications/licenses

  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification required

Practical Skills/Abilities:

  • Able to write clearly and concisely and work within tight deadlines

  • Able to work extended hours when necessary

  • Possess personal attributes such as maturity, interpersonal skills, professional integrity and initiative, self-motivation

  • Able to manage and priorities and tasks and time efficiently

  • Keen to learn, a team player and have good working attitude

  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks

  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to take ambiguity and clarify for self and others

  • Strong business acumen
