A Brief Overview

The Professional Affair Specialist is responsible for leading technical, clinical and professional activities in support of brand, key account and independent customer needs. Specific tasks associated with this role include: Contributing to the management, administration, development and delivery of education programmes at the Alcon Academy (AEA); Contributing to the management, administration, development and delivery of educational content delivered in various locations and settings (including 3rd party conferences) and in industry publications; Collaboration in shaping (internal and 3rd party) conference strategy; and, sharing responsible for the quality of marketing and campaign materials.
 

What You Will Do

  • Support customer training needs on Alcon Vision Care brands.
  • Represent Alcon Vision Care to the professional community in professional matters.
  • Represent Alcon Vision Care at 3rd party/industry events, to deliver brand and generic educational messages, and gain customer feedback.
  • Manage execution of professional services activities that support key account plans e.g. marketing/clinical trials.
  • KOL and health care professional engagement.
  • Develop in-depth (scientific and technical) product knowledge
  • Support category penetration programmes such as category management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with science, marketing, and sales management to develop and execute educational and professional affairs strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategy to educate HCPs on the proper use and clinical science of Vision Care products.

Experience Qualifications

  • 2-5 years Medical Practice/University Practice/Sales
