Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities Maintenance team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. This field-based role is responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of 100+ fueling locations, with a primary focus on gasoline dispensers, POS systems, and related forecourt infrastructure. The Senior Maintenance Technician works alongside a team of technicians to ensure equipment reliability, protect fuel sales, and reduce site downtime. This position requires daily interaction with station operators, dealers, and store management to quickly resolve technical issues and support safe, compliant operations.The role is primarily in the field five days per week and participates in a rotating on-call schedule approximately once per month to respond to urgent service needs.

Job Description:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and operational inspections on gasoline dispensers, POS systems, ATG equipment, and associated forecourt infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair dispenser electronics, payment hardware, communication systems, and network connectivity issues in the field.
  • Respond quickly to service calls, fuel outages, and emergency equipment failures to minimize downtime and protect fuel sales.
  • Program, configure, and maintain POS hardware, payment devices, and dispenser interfaces used in retail fuel transactions.
  • Maintain and repair supporting equipment including exterior lighting, sump components, manholes, and communication wiring tied to fuel system operations.
  • Document all service activity, repairs, parts usage, and compliance requirements in the company’s maintenance management system.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, including environmental and safety standards, while adhering to company policies and operating procedures.
  • Partner with internal teams, vendors, and fuel system specialists to coordinate complex repairs, upgrades, and equipment replacements.
  • Provide onsite guidance to store teams on proper operation, basic troubleshooting, and daily care of fuel and payment systems.
  • Support minor site work such as equipment replacements, dispenser upgrades, and small-scale construction related to fueling infrastructure.
  • Assist with brand imaging or reimaging efforts when they involve dispenser islands, payment areas, or forecourt equipment.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to support multiple locations as business needs require.
  • Perform light facility repairs that directly impact fuel operations, such as fixture replacement, door hardware, or routing low-voltage communication lines.

Additional Job Description:

  • Self-starter, with the ability to work both independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills as they relate to the petroleum industry.
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills, attention to detail a must.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Pay Range:

$33.85 - $50.77

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
