About The Role:

The Claims Coordinator is critical in managing and evaluating inbound customer and carrier claims for Full Truckload (FTL) and Less-than-Truckload (LTL) shipments. You will be responsible for assigning claims to the appropriate team members based on factors such as claim amount, type of loss, and complexity of the case.

Claims may involve various types of damages including accidents, freight shifting, contamination, fire, improper temperature control, shortage, theft, and missing seals. This position requires strong investigative skills, as you will be responsible for gathering claim documents and effectively communicating with customers and carriers through written and verbal correspondence.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and assign claims based on factors such as claim amount, type, and complexity.
  • Manage claims involving a wide range of issues, including accidents, contamination, fire damage, temperature control issues, shortages, theft, and more.
  • Conduct investigative work to track down necessary claim documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and carriers to resolve claims, both verbally and in writing.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet performance metrics.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability, multi-tasking ability, and a sense of urgency.
  • Team player who can connect with others, but who can also produce independent results.
