Job Summary

The JNC Imaging nurse is involved with the assessment, planning, and care of patients who undergo diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The nurse works closely with the assigned physician and technologists to provide direct care to patients, before, during, and after radiology/procedural pain procedures. The nurse is skilled with peripheral intravenous catheter insertion and responsible for administering medications and providing post procedure education. Wearing lead protective gear and a radiation dosimeter is required in some procedural areas.

Education:
▪ Required: Graduate of a state board accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program
Experience:
▪ Preferred: Previous nursing experience
Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversite.
• Proficient Computer skills
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
▪ Required: Current Registered Nurse License active in the state of Missouri
