About the Role

To lead and support governance and strategic initiatives across all Takaful distribution channels—Agency, Partnership (Bancassurance), and Corporate Solutions—ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and regulatory standards. This role is pivotal in fostering strong cross-functional relationships, streamlining operational efforts, and driving sustainable growth through structured governance and market intelligence.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Collaboration & Growth Planning

• Collaborate closely with AIA Bhd and internal stakeholders to identify and evaluate Takaful growth opportunities across all distribution channels.
• Develop and implement both short and long-term strategies to support business expansion and channel effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Proactively engage with Agency Leaders, strategic partners (e.g., Public Bank), and corporate clients to gather market insights, feedback, and sentiment.
• Translate market intelligence into actionable recommendations for internal teams and outsourcing partners to enhance service delivery and competitiveness.

Governance & Performance Monitoring

• Establish, implement, and monitor service level standards (SLAs) across all distribution channels to ensure operational accountability and performance consistency.
• Drive governance initiatives to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Cross-Functional Relationship Management

• Build and maintain effective working relationships across various levels, functions, and geographies within the organization to support seamless execution of distribution strategies
• Act as a liaison between distribution teams and support functions (e.g., compliance, operations, marketing) to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Insurance or Takaful industry, with hands-on exposure to managing or supporting Agency, Bancassurance, and Corporate Solutions channels.

Certifications / Licenses:

• TBE (Takaful Basic Examination)
• CEILI (Certificate Examination in Investment-Linked Insurance)
• PCE (Pre-Contract Examination for Insurance Agents)

Special Skills:

• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Commercially oriented with a strategic mindset and the ability to translate insights into business value.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
