Job Description:

Responsibilities

The Uninsured Care Programs (UCP) provide medications, primary care, and home care services to uninsured and underinsured persons living with HIV/AIDS in New York State.  In addition, the program assists persons living with HIV/AIDS who have comprehensive insurance coverage in paying premiums to ensure that the coverage continues.

The incumbent will provide oversight for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support for all UCP hardware to ensure uninterrupted services.  The incumbent will be responsible for overall oversight of local area network maintenance, maintenance, and configuration of telecommunications software. The incumbent will be responsible uninterrupted running of UCP critical applications. The incumbent will contribute to the creation and maintenance of UCP's Tableau dashboard.  The incumbent will be for testing of all UCP systems and applications.  The incumbent will be responsible for documentation of all UCP systems and applications.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information science, information technology, or a related field and three years of computer systems administration or systems analysis experience; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience.  A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

At least five years of experience in a hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and monitoring; At least three years of experience using Backup Exec. Experience with call center telecommunications software. At least two years’ experience with network configuration and maintenance.  Experience with disaster recovery sites.  Experience with data analytics and reports using Tableau.  Experience with Applications/Systems testing. Experience with applications required to run 24/7.  Experience with application testing and documentation.

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will not be available.
