Job Description

Job Summary

The IT Business Relationship Manager will play a key role in aligning IT services with business objectives, identifying opportunities for technology-driven improvements, and driving solutions within our Finance and Accounting organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT service delivery and management as well as business analysis and design, with the ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders.


Job Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology for business process improvements and competitive advantage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations on IT solutions and investments.
  • Communicate IT strategies, initiatives, and achievements to executive management and the broader organization.
  • Ensure alignment of IT projects with business priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Establish partnerships with both business and IT for the use of providing efficient execution of technology support service value adds allowing business to remain focused on business and operations
  • Performs specialized assignments; solves complex problems and develops non-traditional solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking
  • Interprets internal/external business environment
  • Recommends best practices to improve processes or services
  • Impacts achievements of customer, operational, project or service objectives
  • Communicates difficult concepts to team to generate clarity and alignment on projects, initiatives, and various work products
  • May lead functional projects with moderate risks and resource requirements
  • Individual contributor working independently; may require guidance in highly complex situations
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
  • Certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are preferred.


Experience

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in finance and accounting systems, in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, processes, and systems such as ERP, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting best practices, regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g., GAAP, SOX).
  • Experience with implementing and supporting financial systems, such as SAP, Oracle Financials, WorkDay, Hyperion, or similar platforms.
