Summary: As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreements. A typical day involves collaborating with team members to ensure system reliability, monitoring performance metrics, and addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner. You will engage in problem-solving discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, ensuring that all services meet the established standards and expectations. Roles & Responsibilities: • Plan and implement medium to high risk changes on high profile production Vmware systems • Analyze and assess the impact and risk of low to medium risk changes on high profile production Vmware systems. • Resolve difficult/complex  incidents affecting the operation/availability of high profile production Vms & ESX/ESXi. • Basic knowledge of Linux commands to analyze Memory, CPU, Disk, Network and Vmware owned processes. • Patch-upgrade-Vmtools install. • Manage and Support virtual infra along with vendors & clients. • Resource allocation / modification of VMs. • Vulnablity remidiations. • Managing Dell VRTX. • Good to have knowledge on CloudLink/KMS. • Manage data recovery (physical / user data). • Analyze system performance indicators and recommend improvement actions through OEM • Review the problem management register and implement actions. • Co-ordinate with vendor for urgent support needs through support-channels like metalink. • Make pro-active suggestions for service improvements. •  Should contribute on Automation activities. •  Need have understanding vXRAIL-vROPS. •  Must have knowledge on migrations. •  Must have knowledge on SRM. •  Must have knowledge on permissions. •  Must have knowledge on solving backup failure issues. Professional & Technical Skills: • Good verbal and written communication skills to connect with customers at varying levels of the organization. • Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision  • Flexible to work in 24/7 shift    • Must be a team player • Must be capable to upscale and take initiative to deliver the task independently. • Must be open to learn and and work on new technologies. • Proficient knowledge in Virtual Infrastructure • Performing ESXi upgradation/vCenter patching. • DR expericence via SRM. •  Must have knowledge on migrations. •  Must have knowledge on SRM. •  Must have knowledge on permissions. •  Must have knowledge on solving backup failure issues. • Managing Dell VRTX. • Problem management. • vSphere. • Vmware products. • Capacity to handle vendor technical troubleshooting calls. • Managing physical devices. • VMC on AWS. • NSX - NSX-T. Additional Information: 1. Bachelor’s degree 2. Prefered to have VMware certification on Virtualziation management 3. AWS Associate level certification. 4. A 15 years full time education is required.
