JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Trade Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for setting and implementing the strategy and direction that will enable the team to achieve the company’s trade sales objectives.

Key Areas of Accountability:

  • P&L Accountability

  • Distribution Strategy

  • Shopper Marketing

  • Trading Term Development

  • Distributor Management

  • Key Customer Development

Job Specification:

  • Responsible for delivering sales and distribution objectives for the company

  • Tasked to develop and implement shopper and customer based strategy in pursuit of both top line and bottom line goals

  • Manages the go to market approach of the company in line with brand and consumer key performance measures

  • Leads the Trade Retail Sales Organization whose capabilities include trade and customer marketing, key account management and distributor development in generating demand through Modern Trade and Pharmacy channels

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Strong relations with the local retail industry for the past 5 – 10 years

  • At least 1 year per position - National Key Accounts Manager/Area Sales Manager; Trade Marketing Manager; Trade Promotions / Merchandising / Category Management / Sales Information Mgr or Svr; Distributor Manager / Supervisor; Key Account Manager / Supervisor

  • Must have a vast knowledge on the following - Knowledge of the Business; Demand Forecasting; Territory Planning and Management; Distributor Management; Merchandising and Promotions Management; Category Management; Key Account Management; Financial Management: Business, Key Account, Distributor; Organization Development
