The Role: Lead Fullstack Engineer

In this role, you will lead development and evolution of Catio’s user-facing platform. This is a hands-on, high-impact position where you will architect, develop, and optimize our applications, ensuring a high-quality, performant, and scalable experience for our users.

You will have significant ownership over the user-facing product, driving critical technical and architectural decisions, while working closely with Catio’s leadership team, customers, and early adopters. This role is ideal for a startup-minded, entrepreneurial engineer with deep expertise in fullstack development, architecture design, and scalable SaaS platforms—someone who thrives in 0→1 environments, embraces a polyglot mindset, and is eager to build a category-defining product.

What you’ll do:

• Lead fullstack development: Architect and build a highly responsive, scalable, and performance-optimized enterprise SaaS application.

• Develop and maintain a highly responsive frontend user interface, ensuring a delightful user experience across all target features and desired product functionality

• Develop and maintain a high-quality, scalable backend of our enterprise SaaS website and web app using modern web technologies and cloud-native tools and frameworks

• Drive end-to-end product delivery: Work closely with leadership, product, and AI teams, to define product strategy, ship cutting-edge AI and SaaS product capabilities, and optimize platform performance

• Shape the engineering culture: Establish and promote best practices, mentor engineers, and contribute to hiring and team-building efforts.

• Ensure high code quality and performance: Participate in code and design reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement

What you bring:

• 4+ years of experience and rapid career progression in fullstack engineering at top-tier startups and / or technology companies

• Impressive track record of building and scaling appealing, responsive, and complex SaaS platforms, preferably with some enterprise SaaS experience

• Deep expertise in modern fullstack development, including React, Next.js, GraphQL, TypeScript, as well as backend systems in Node.js, Python, or similar

• Keen appreciation of modern design patterns and cloud native architectures, and interest in challenges experienced by architects and building AI-powered decision-insight capabilities—with a versatile, polyglot mindset

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a passion for code quality, performance, and maintainability

• A dynamic mindset and high-trust personality, to effectively collaborate cross-functionally at Catio while shaping our grounded geek culture

• Commitment to build 0→1 and excelling in a fast-paced startup environment, taking ownership of a category-defining product and delivering impactful solutions end-to-end
