What this job involves:

As a Program Manager, F&B at JLL, you will be navigating through the grueling demands of dining operations where a busy kitchen and a military unit operate similarly—both require rigor, discipline and precision for success. Like a high-ranking officer creating order and efficiency in a brigade, you'll need to foster camaraderie and teamwork to get a kitchen through the rapid-fire demands of busy operations while emphasizing the biggest success factor in the kitchen—discipline—to ensure dining establishments' strict adherence to high standards in food safety and quality. You'll be an authority like a military officer inspecting the troops as you must go above and beyond in monitoring food preparation methods, portion sizes and presentation to ensure that a dish is as it should be, or even better. This comprehensive F&B manager role requires establishing and enforcing nutritional standards for dining establishments based on accepted industry standards while reviewing and planning menus and food utilization based on anticipated number of guests, nutritional value, palatability, popularity, and costs. You will monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner while investigating and resolving complaints regarding food quality, service, or special events catering, directly contributing to JLL's mission of delivering exceptional food and beverage excellence through comprehensive operations management, vendor coordination, and service optimization that ensures superior dining experiences, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across diverse commercial real estate environments.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Establish and enforce nutritional standards for dining establishments based on accepted industry standards while reviewing and planning menus based on guests, nutritional value, palatability, popularity, and costs
  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure acceptable preparation and presentation for comprehensive quality management
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or special events catering while keeping records required by government agencies for sanitation compliance
  • Test cooked food by tasting and smelling to ensure palatability and flavor conformity prior to beginning of food service for quality assurance
  • Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs while coordinating services such as waste removal and pest control for food preparation and service area
  • Establish standards for generating customer feedbacks while maintaining food and equipment inventories and keeping inventory records for comprehensive coordination
  • Record number, type, and cost of items sold to determine unpopular or less preferred items while reviewing work procedures and operational processes
  • Schedule use of facilities or catering services for events such as banquets or receptions while negotiating details of arrangements with clients for event coordination.

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of F&B operations with significant and relevant experience in handling base kitchens for comprehensive dining operations management
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures for policy formulation
  • Records maintenance and report generation skills with ability to supervise and train employees including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
  • Skill in use of computers and Windows-based operating environment with ability to foster cooperative work environment for comprehensive team coordination
  • Employee development and performance management skills with knowledge of supplies, equipment, and services ordering and inventory control capabilities
  • Ability to analyze event requests and assess catering product and equipment requirements while demonstrating excellent vendor management skills coordination
  • Understanding of nutritional standards establishment and enforcement based on industry standards while demonstrating menu planning and food utilization capabilities
  • Experience with food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing monitoring while understanding complaints investigation and resolution for service excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with government agencies records keeping regarding sanitation and food subsidies while understanding cooked food testing for palatability and flavor conformity
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repairs arrangement while understanding waste removal and pest control coordination for food preparation areas
  • Understanding of customer feedbacks standards establishment while demonstrating food and equipment inventories maintenance and inventory records keeping
  • Experience with items sold recording for unpopular or less preferred items determination while understanding work procedures and operational processes review
  • Knowledge of facilities or catering services scheduling for events while demonstrating arrangements details negotiation with clients for comprehensive event coordination
  • Understanding of food production schedules and catering events review while demonstrating catering event requests processing with vendor help
  • Experience with systems and processes development for records establishment while understanding hygiene audits conducting internally and with external agencies
  • Background in cafeteria operations and client satisfaction review while demonstrating catering feedback analysis for comprehensive performance measurement coordination.
