Position Overview

Zelis is a leading US-based company that operates in Healthcare Information Technology. We have established a Shared Services Center in India to provide Accounting and Financial services to our US-based operations.

We are currently seeking a skilled Accounts Payable person to join our Shared Services Team in India. The primary role of this person will be to perform accounting and clerical tasks for the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

·       Review and posting of Invoices in the accounting software.

·       Ensure supplier details are maintained is always kept up to date.

·       Timely response to supplier and internal inquiries.

·       Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

·       Reconcile Accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

·       Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures.

·       Ensure timely and accurate closure of the Month-end process.

 EDUCATION AND professional experience:

 

Required:

·       Strong, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

·       Experience working supporting US operations and flexibility to meet with stakeholders and vendors during their work day

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

·       Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

·       Working knowledge of ERP environments (SAP, Oracle, Workday and experience with Workday is a huge plus)

·       Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

·       Excellent interpersonal skills

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team domestically and internationally.

·       Prior experience working in a Shared Services Center preferred

·       Demonstrate a strong work ethic.

·       Expectation to work primarily in the Zelis-India office on a regular basis

·       Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as required to collaborate with teams outside of India.
