About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Interventional Cardiology Services.
A vacancy exists in the Interventional Cardiology Service department for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive Interventional Cardiology team. St Vincent’s Hospital is a major tertiary referral centre and has 3 Cardiac Catheter Labs, 1 Electrophysiology Lab and 1 Endocardial Biopsy/ Right Heart Catheterization for interventional cardiac procedures such as insertion of stents, cardiac devices and structural heart procedures. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centered care.
The successful applicant(s) will be expected to be able to work within the Interventional Cardiology department comprising of Cardiac Catheter, Electrophysiology Laboratories and Right Heart Catheterization/ Endocardial Biopsy which is part of Interventional Services. Our progressive and innovative team leads the way in interventional procedures; percutaneous aortic valve replacement, left atrial appendage closure, PFO, ASD closure, AF ablation, cardiac resynchronization therapy.
The successful applicant(s) will be expected to work a Monday to Friday rotating roster, and on-call overnights and over the weekends.

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
2. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
3. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team
4. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
5. Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
6. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
7. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse
8. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
