 Job Description: 

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will play an essential role within BlackBerry’s Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCOE). This position will assist in the implementation of marketing strategies to promote courses, manage communication activities, and enhance the center’s online presence through social media platforms. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will directly contribute to the growth and visibility of the CCOE in Malaysia through effective marketing and communication initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute marketing strategies to boost enrollment in courses offered at the CCOE.

-  Coordinate communication activities, including drafting content for newsletters, website updates, event communications and social media posts.

- Promote and organize events hosted at the CCOE to increase community and student participation in courses and programs.

- Manage various social media accounts e.g. LinkedIn and YouTube to raise awareness of the CCOE and engage with the online community.

- Monitor data and metrics to provide insights for strategy refinement.

- Collaborate with senior team members to maintain consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.

- Plan and execute marketing events activities for the year including online and onsite activities for the CCoE. These may include course and program promotions, university outreach, community events and etc.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

- 2-4 years experience in marketing, communications, with a passion for promoting education.

- Prior experience in cybersecurity or technology sector is preferred.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Malay) with strong attention to detail.

- Good understanding and practical experience with social media platforms (namely LinkedIn and YouTube) as well as basic marketing tools for business purposes.

- Experience creating free and paid marketing programs from scratch.

- Creative thinking abilities to apply innovative ideas to marketing campaigns.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Analytical skills to assist in data interpretation for decision-making processes.

- Digital marketing proficiency including tools such as content marketing, email marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay-per-click (PPC).

- Ability to create visually appealing content using illustration tools is preferred

- High energy, self-directed, team player with the ability to see the big picture while managing the day-to-day details.
