SUMMARY

Hamilton Kent is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse Worker to join our team in Winchester, TN. This role is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving freight, inventory handling, and operating material-handling equipment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Receive freight including offloading, verifying, inspecting, reporting, and documenting freight to standard procedures.

• Ship freight, including verifying, loading & documenting freight to standard procedures.

• Put away and pick freight from warehouse using a forklift and Reach

• Keep warehouse clean (end of day clean up ) and participate in 5S activities.

• Support order processing and other warehouse activity as required.

• Maintain drivers’ Shipping & Receiving Log Conduct Lift truck inspection daily and report immediately any issues that might impede function or safety.

• Move Q.A. released material from “Temporary Hold Area” to the warehouse.

• Ensure garbage area is clean and tidy.

• Must be able to meet and maintain company quality and production requirements

• Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to.

• Perform other duties as required by supervision to meet production requirements

• Perform cycle counts as requested to ensure inventory accuracy.

• Adhere to all pertinent federal, provincial and local health and safety legislative requirements

• Comply with Hamilton Kent’s Occupational Health and Safety Policy as well as relevant procedures and safety rules.

• Immediately report any unsafe practice/condition or any accident/incident to

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Forklift / Raymond Reach experience and/or Certificates

• A working knowledge of computers

• Completion of WHIMIS and Health & Safety training.

• 1-year experience as a material handler in a warehouse environment

COMPLEXITY & JUDGEMENT

Work involves both routine and non-routine tasks requiring different and unrelated methods within authorized limits.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Incumbent spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment requiring varying degrees of physical labor. The incumbent understands, respects and adheres to the workplace Health & Safety rules and regulations. Light & Some Heavy Lifting
