NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Senior Patient Registrar to join our dynamic Department of Gastroenterology and Rheumatology. As a vital member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care.
What you'll do:
- Provide exceptional patient experiences: Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a seamless registration process.
- Manage administrative tasks: Handle a variety of administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and filing medical records.
- Support a world-class team: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver top-notch care.

Position Details:
- Full-Time: Schedule varies between 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with potential for shift changes based on operational needs.
- Location: 163-03 Horace Harding Expressway, Fresh Meadows, NY
- May require occasional work at other Queens Medical Group locations based on operational needs
Preferred Criteria
- Prior experience working in a busy medical practice
- Prior experience working in rheumatology/Gastroenterology
- Knowledge of health insurance benefits eligibility and requirements
- Knowledge of Coding
- Knowledge of obtaining prior authorization in imaging and medications.
- Some college
- Bilingual in Spanish or Cantonese/Mandarin
Required Criteria
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three years of clerical experience including data entry and computer literacy
- Effective written, verbal and telephone communication skills
