Job Description

We are looking for a Community Coordinator to support the account executive team and the Sponsor Services department while providing general administrative support to the corporation as a whole. This position will be full-time, salaried and onsite in Evanston, Illinois.

Only work authorizations that will not require sponsorship now or in the future will be considered.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the account executive team and the overall department

  • Prepare correspondence transmitted to corporate and college scholarship program sponsors

  • Monitor and proof scholarship candidate information sent to sponsors

  • Assist in ongoing maintenance of sponsor information and program specifications

  • Answer telephone calls regarding program procedures and requirements from parents, students, high school officials, sponsor contacts, etc.

  • Prepare and process various mailings

  • Provide backup support for the Receptionist as needed

  • Utilize a customized database in addition to standard PC applications extensively

  • Recommend and help implement procedural improvements and efficiencies

  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data input, word processing, proofing documents, etc.

  • Learn all aspects of administering and servicing corporate and college sponsor scholarship program accounts

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the corporate management team

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus

  • Thorough knowledge and extensive experience working with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

  • Must be very detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated

  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision

Preferred:

  • Experience in an academic or business setting

  • Commitment to academic excellence and strong ethical business practices

  • Familiarity with structured environments and deadlines

  • Professional demeanor and presentation

  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)

Physical Demands 

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

  • Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

$38,000 - $44,000 per year

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
