Monitors aspects of projects from beginning to end to ensure project execution while guiding a project team, or teams, to accomplish specific objectives in a given time frame and with limited resources. Works closely with leadership and staff in all areas of the organization, especially those in the Mission Integration Division. Responsible for taking a lead role in various multi-disciplinary teams to help identify, monitor and report various issues & objectives associated with assigned projects. Assists in development of business plans, forecasting, project flows and project design rollout. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

A Brief Overview

What you will do
  • Responsible for the creation and design of projects and programs of the Mission Integration Division.
  • Organizes and conducts interim and post implementation project reviews on assigned projects to identify specific best practices and improvement opportunities.
  • Leads work on grant writing and grant management, including grants and projects focusing on population health, social deteminants of health, and community engagement for public health.
  • Participates in administration and conducts training and educational sessions to individuals or groups within the Mission Intergation Division and in the community to promote effective use of program and project data, resources, and outcomes.
  • Arranges and coordinates community conferences, educational meetings, and intervention programs.
  • Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.

Education/Formal Training Requirements
  • Required - Bachelor's Degree Business
  • Preferred - Master's Degree Public Health

Work Experience Requirements
  • Preferred - Familiarity with health surveys evaluation, statistics, and grants

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to research, design, delegate and implement projects and programs.
  • Demonstrated ablility in project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in project management and people in a healthcare and community environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently exercise sound judgment and initiative in all circumstances, including very stressful and/or emergency situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong skills and proficiency in standard and unique software programs and standard office equipment including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to interpret and analyze undefined issues in order to provide resolution.
  • Ability to plan and schedule tasks, projects, and to maintain flow of work for teams across divisions.
  • Knowledge of various religious denominations/faith groups’ practices and beliefs and the spiritual maturity to work effectively with groups and/or persons of various religious persuasions and in diverse communities.

Supervision Provided by this Position
  • There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position. However, this position will be responsible for leading groups for projects.

Physical Demands
  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
