The Director, Sales Enablement is a key contributor to the Enablement Organization to help contribute to Tipalti’s long-term growth, reporting to the VP of Sales Excellence.  In this role you will be a key leader of the Sales Enablement team owning and managing Sales Enablement Partner Trainers on the Enablement Team and providing direction, support and development needs. You will be responsible for aiding in the advancement of enabling our entire sales organization. This includes onboarding, continuous learning, targeted training and enabling of our tool stack, and development and management of enablement content for the training needs of the Enablement team. Tipalti’s Sales team and makeup of partners will be global and multi-disciplined. This position will support all training team members & all sales teams @ Tipalti as well as supporting our management team. 

You have a positive and can-do attitude and enjoy working with sales leaders, a diverse Sales Training Team (SDR’s AE’s, Alliance, etc), and have a deep understanding of sales tools, methodology & training needs of a market that is in high growth. You enjoy creating, organizing, and delivering training programs & content, through a variety of mediums including virtually, LMS, and in person delivery. You have a customer-centric attitude and appreciation for working collaboratively in a fast paced environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Lead the team of Sales Enablement Partners to coach to the 30/60/90 day onboarding plans, partner with the Sales Leaders to identify areas of specific training needs by Region, and support Manager coaching programs.

  • Develop trainers on the Enablement team members by understanding needs of the larger sales team and aligning focus & initiatives of the training team members with the orientation to product/process/tools; develop individual coaching plans
  • Providing resources and assistance to help enablement of new team members; ensure they achieve ramp goals
  • Develop a deep understanding of the nuances of the Global Marketplace we operate in and align the team appropriately.
  • Make Enablement support readily available for the field, integrating support with routine job functions.
  • Understand diverse needs and lead development of training and education assets to enable the entire Sales Team to accelerate value for sales and revenue opportunities
  • Provide support as new offices and locations/functions come online
  • Provide subject matter expertise: F&A specifics, product, technology landscapes and integration.
  • Create/Lead creation of new training content to meet the diverse needs of the team and update and integrate existing training content from different sources.
  • Constantly seek to evolve and refine the enablement process/program/support based on feedback.
  • Enable alignment of sales enablement activities with key internal and external teams.
  • Aid in the development or plan of execution with our methodology, processes, and best practices to streamline and improve sales enablement.
  • Develop individual results by maintaining policy and procedure resources, providing coaching, conducting training sessions, and developing outcome improvement resources.
  • Establish on-going and effective communication with sales team members and regional sales leaders.
  • Help to ensure we support and manage the tool stack as related to sales team needs with current and up to date Enablement and training materials.

About you:

  • 7+ years of sales training/enablement experience & 5 years experience in managing an enablement team.
  • Ability to translate concepts, summarize and communicate complex ideas, and clearly articulate business value with a good sense of how alliance professionals think, operate, and absorb training.
  • Selling in a SaaS and/or Consumption selling environment
  • Experience building out annual strategy and training calendar/cadences to support high growth sales teams.
  • Coaching: strong ability to measure and coach both internal team and partners
  • Experience with learning methodologies: deliver the right content to the right audience at the right time.
  • Proficient with Google Suite
  • Highly professional written skills & communication skills 
  • Able to deliver high value technical content that is consumable and actionable. Ability to translate understanding of the F&A environment Tipalti sells into.
  • Results and success-oriented with strengths in problem solving and development of solutions to assist the sales team.
  • Ability to understand strategic direction and goals of the Sales Org ; support processes to facilitate achievement of business objectives.
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with people in an open, friendly, and accepting manner.
  • Adaptable and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Experience with enablement related to financial technologies/software is highly preferred.
  • Help administer the Partner Relationship Management (PRM) Tool
  • StoryLine (or alternative enablement content creation tools), or LMS, PRM experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of sales /training /enablement experience or coaching/management experience that had a focus on building out teams
