Position Description:

Builds and tests software using Jira, Jira Align, and Agility Health. Performs test automation using Agile methodologies and established frameworks -- Java, Python, iCEDQ, and Selenium. Coordinates with the team to ensure the Agile methodologies are developed from the beginning of every Agile story. Finds technical issues and bugs before test execution begins. Ensures the highest product quality and end user satisfaction of software, through this analysis and construction of automated technical tests. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
  • Analyzes and understands requirements and business needs.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building and testing software systems using Java and Jenkins in a financial services environment. 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building and testing software systems using Java and Jenkins in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing test automation frameworks using Java, Type Script, and Java Script; performing end-to-end Data-Lake testing -- source to target data transition -- using ICEDQ, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Simple Storage Service (S3), Azure Blob, and Snowflake (acting as the Data-Lake).  
  • DE performing white and black-box system and integration testing; and integrating new systems with existing systems and applications through regression, functional, UI, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) -- Selenium, and Java. 
  • DE creating robust test plans strategies -- functional and automated test cases -- using XRAY in JIRA; and creating hybrid automation frameworks -- Java and Playwright -- and integrating automated test cases with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline (Jenkins). 
  • DE performing end-to-end testing for data acquisition from Data-Warehouse or Transactional source systems to Data Lakes using data ingestion tools -- Snowflake and SQL -- developing automation scripts to test Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using REST; and performing source target data comparison by writing automation scripts using ICEDQ tool.
