Coordinates and supports the penetration testing program by managing assessment intake, stakeholder communications, vendor engagement, reporting, and governance activities. Helps align penetration testing, threat modeling, and other cybersecurity assurance capabilities across the software development lifecycle to support consistent risk identification and remediation. Partners with application teams, security teams, and external vendors to resolve dependencies, monitor outcomes, and improve overall program effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate end-to-end penetration testing engagements from intake through report delivery.

  • Monitor testing schedules and ensure assessments are completed within established timelines and service level expectations.

  • Serve as a liaison between application teams, security teams, risk partners, and testing vendors to facilitate assessment activities.

  • Communicate testing requirements, timelines, results, and remediation expectations to stakeholders.

  • Coordinate third-party testing vendors, including engagement tracking and issue resolution.

  • Produce operational metrics, dashboards, and status reporting for leadership and governance forums.

  • Partner with cybersecurity, technology, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to support enterprise security objectives.

  • Maintain documentation and evidence supporting regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve testing processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency through process enhancements and automation initiatives.

  • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance penetration testing coverage, governance, and program maturity.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.

  • Developing knowledge in cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts.

  • Experience in software development lifecycle security practices.

  • Proficiency in implementing and managing information security technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with security automation, orchestration, and advanced threat detection tools.

  • Familiarity with emerging cybersecurity technologies, industry trends, and strategic risk management.

  • Experience coordinating cybersecurity assessments, vulnerability management activities, or related security operations processes.

  • Experience working with external vendors and managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity governance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

  • Banking or financial services experience.
