Job Summary

**THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN SAN DIEGO, CA**

Rady Children’s Health is a dynamic, freestanding children’s hospital system located in Southern California with three children’s hospitals and other health care and related entities in San Diego and Orange Counties.
The Senior Counsel position, under minimal supervision, provides a wide array of legal services to the executives, and administrative, medical and professional staff of Rady Children's Health and its affiliates and subsidiaries and respective boards of directors. With the other members of the Legal Department, Senior Counsel protects the organization's legal interests, works in collaboration with key stakeholders, advises organization on substantive matters including complex transactional matters, corporate, regulatory, compliance, facilities and real estate. In addition, Senior Counsel oversees legal services by junior attorneys, and interns.

Pay Range

Minimum $179,317 Midpoint $237,598 Maximum $295,859

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN SAN DIEGO, CA

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Juris Doctorate Degree

-  Active Member in good standing of the State Bar of California

-  7 Years of Experience

- Must be proficient in providing general legal services involving a wide range of matters in a dynamic health care environment

- Demonstrated knowledge of California and federal laws, regulations, and other legal requirements

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 10+ Years of Experience

- Experience in healthcare operations

The current salary range for this position is $82.14 to $112.94

Work Environments - Functional Demand:
