We are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist to join our team at our head office in Wootton, Bedford MK43 9EJ. (Please note that due to the office location you must drive or have access to a car)

This position will be full time and permanent, working from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

As a Receptionist, you will be an integral part of the business and the first point of contact for all internal and external customers. It is imperative as part of your role that you excel at delivering excellent customer service. 

You will be responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, handling company enquiries, and sorting and distributing mail. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all calls are answered and dealt with promptly and professionally. 

  • Greet visitors warmly and professionally and maintain the visitors register. 

  • Ensure that callers are connected to the correct person and refer complex queries to the appropriate department.

  • Deal with logging and informing departments of incoming post and packages and liaising with outside delivery companies.  

  • Undertake any administration work that can be completed whilst operating the switchboard to assist the team.  

  • Organise and prioritise own workload.

  • Previous reception experience and a smart appearance is essential

  • Exceptional customer service skills and a polite and professional manner, with active listening skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

  • Excellent time management skills 

  • A team player that's equally happy to work alone and under pressure

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to multitask and prioritise own work

  • Great organisational skills
