Job Overview

This role applies requires applying technical skills to quality assurance and testing for planned software releases. Under broad guidance, executes and verifies software application tests for the IQVIA Clinical eSource (formerly known as ClinSpark) platform. The software quality assurance engineer evaluates planned changes and new functionality to define functional, system and regression tests. 

Essential Functions

  • Analyzes business and functional requirements for completeness; derive valid test cases.
  • Carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.
  • Defines master test plans to document overall testing strategy for a project.
  • Mange the execution test scripts to test software, documenting validation of test scenarios, defects, and resolution.
  • Analyzes test results; reviews test plans and supporting execution documentation as required.
  • Provides risk assessment throughout test cycles and create lessons learned summary upon completion of project.
  • Effectively presents information in both written and verbal form to management, customers (internal only), or other technical personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Three (3) years related experience in quality assurance and testing Req
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and SpiraTeam a plus. 
  • Automated test experience with Katalon or similar a plus
  • Continuing Test Process Improvement and modernization of testing techniques and procedures.
  • Experience with Clinical trial process.
  • Self directed and motivated
  • Ability to prioritize and apply risk assessment techniques.
