Position Summary
The Personal Trainer provides members with customized fitness programs while educating them on proper nutrition, cardiovascular exercise, resistance training and attaining a healthier lifestyle.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains client base, instructs small group training or one-on-one training.
- Educates members of current health and fitness issues and trends.
- Executes individual fitness program design, demonstrates and teaches exercises while providing feedback on technique.
- Greets and makes members/guests feel welcomed as they enter and exit the facility.
- Treats all members and guests with respect.
- Ensures safety of guests/members and takes preventative actions to decrease risk.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
Certifications:
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) - American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), First Aid CPR/AED - American Red Cross, Personal Trainer - American Council on Exercise (ACE)

Salary Range
$25.47 - $39.49 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
