Manager, Real World Strategy and Innovation

In our Real World (RW) Strategy & Innovation group, we set the strategy and drive innovation for Real World Evidence (RWE) in the US, in collaboration with other IQVIA RWS teams. We do this in a market-back way, engaging customers as we design and deliver innovative, technology-enabled evidence programs for the pharmaceutical industry. The Role

As a Manager you will join a high profile, talented and fast-paced team where you will gain exposure to client facing projects and development of a US Real World Strategy that ensures IQVIA’s leadership in the US RWE market over the coming years. You will also be responsible for managing teams of Associates and Consultants in the design, development and delivery of medium sized projects or components of larger, complex projects. In addition, you will also be responsible for supporting offering development, capability and financial assessments, scenario planning and business case development.

Accountabilities

As a Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
  • Executing high quality research and analysis.
  • Designing, structuring, and delivering client reports and presentations.
  • Developing client relationships through face-to-face discussions, workshops, telephone, and email contact.
  • Providing expert guidance on RWS landscape to junior colleagues.
  • Supporting the development of proposals for new projects/commercial opportunities.
  • Developing broader and deeper knowledge of consulting methodologies and the pharmaceutical and/or MedTech market through on-the-job exposure and formal training.
  • Building deep knowledge of IQVIA data sources and further developing knowledge of the broader RWD landscape.
  • Supporting discrete initiatives around IQVIA’s broad RWE strategy.
  • Coaching project team members and supporting them to fulfil their personal objectives
  • Acting as a formal coach / mentor for up to 3 junior team members on an ongoing basis (i.e. not just in projects).

In this role you will usually be staffed on 3 – 4 projects in parallel ensuring a broad exposure to the wide range of activities that the RW Strategy & Innovation undertakes in a rapid timeframe, as well as the opportunity to demonstrate a broad skill set. You will also get exposure to a broad array of IQVIA capabilities as our work is inherently collaborative and cross-functional.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in public health, management, economics, life sciences, engineering, etc.)
  • Scientific background/training in real-world evidence studies or regulatory science 
  • Demonstrable experience with complex RWE projects or programs involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous consulting or service delivery experience in top tier organizations
  • Proven experience in healthcare, life sciences or the pharmaceutical industry with focus on business strategy, technology, product development and technical architecture.
  • Strong capability in managing projects and juggling priorities to meet deadlines while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes.
  • Intellectual curiosity, courage, and determination to devise and implement solutions critical to patients, clients and IQVIA, even in the face of significant challenges.
  • Experience working in sizable/multi-disciplined teams and supervising/guiding junior team members.
  • Experience developing credible relationships with senior level managers and executives in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of key issues and current developments in RWE/D and the pharmaceutical/healthcare industries.
  • Demonstrable analytical, interpretative, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent client influencing skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing.
  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques would be desirable.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $151,200.00 - $252,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
