CACI is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to assist in definition and implementation of a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system for IT staff supporting the Federal Protective Service (FPS) at Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  Successful candidates will directly manage a matrixed technical team including subject matter experts (SMEs), business process analysts, technical personnel, and other appropriate expertise as needed to design, develop document, implement and manage a large-scale project to perform outside the scope of O&M activities throughout the SDLC. This is a supervisory role with a team of direct reports.

About the Role:

Serve as a Senior IT Project Manager responsible for successful project definition, planning, implementation, and closeout. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all areas of Project Management from initiation through closeout, ensuring the successful execution of the project in support of government customer’s mission, goals and objectives.

  • Manage of team of 3 direct reports.

  • Provide leadership to a cross-functional team, managing team resource assignments, projected task completion dates, prioritizing activities based on customer requirements and SLAs.

  • Responsible for the management, scheduling, and coordination of projects activities, daily operations and maintenance activities, and staff assignments.

  • Oversee individual IT projects from identification of requirements, analysis and design, development, end-user testing, deployment, and production support

  • Oversee and manage technical IT project involved in planning and implementation of a major CAD system, sourcing data from multiple application streams into a consolidated application.

  • Communicate effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences

  • Establish and maintain strong relationship with the government customer

  • Ensures compliance with the DHS SELC process through all phases of the life cycle (planning, requirements definition, design, development, integration, test, disposition, implementation, operations & maintenance) as well as deliver the appropriate SELC artifacts as required.

  • Provide recommendations for process development and improvement.

  • Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions, and job aids.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred

  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent + 10 years of relevant experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role managing or leading an IT project team

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong Microsoft Office experience, predominantly Excel, Visio and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous DHS experience

  • Emergent Dispatch/Response or Law Enforcement Dispatch experience

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$85,800 - $180,200
