About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Strategy & Planning Consultant


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Strategy & Planning

  • Contribute to large scale planning related to Strategy & Planning

  • Assist in the identification of strategic business, investment opportunities, evaluation, and approval process of identified opportunities

  • Review and analyze business, operational, or technical assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives

  • Exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables

  • Resolve moderately complex issues

  • Lead team to meet deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Job Expectations:

The consultant will be responsible for delivering business, risk, and governance analysis, synthesizing complex information into clear and actionable materials for leadership. This includes supporting strategic initiatives from concept through execution, coordinating with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate strategy into well‑defined plans, milestones, and outcomes.

A core aspect of the role is strengthening governance processes to ensure transparency, effective oversight, and consistency in how initiatives and priorities are tracked and reported to senior management.

In addition, the role will contribute to delivery excellence by supporting opportunities for automation and AI adoption, enhancing scalability, insight generation, and execution consistency across the Corporate Risk organization. The position requires the ability to operate independently in a complex, matrixed environment while serving as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders.

  •  Support the development and execution of strategic priorities across the Corporate Risk organization, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives. 
  •  Provide business, risk, and governance analysis to inform leadership decision making and strategic planning. 
  •  Drive and coordinate cross functional initiatives, translating strategy into actionable plans and outcomes. 
  • Strengthening governance processes, including oversight and executive reporting. 
  •  Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, operating independently in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Support delivery excellence by identifying opportunities for automation and AI adoption to enhance scalability, insight generation, and execution consistency.
