Procurement Analyst – Risk and Compliance

In this role you will…

Drive risk understanding, including risk-based data analysis, and present opportunities, including managing the change through appropriate Global Procurement Function.

Work with relevant Risk Subject Matter Experts to ensure policies, procedures and practices continue to comply with legislative and regulatory developments.

Ensure that business needs that drive requirements for customization are strongly challenged and options for process redesign are considered, managed and planned and align to the GSK values and written standards.

Create the required assets to deliver the change, including any policies, processes, controls, monitoring capabilities, key risk indicators and learning assets.

Manage project stakeholders across multiple business units, functions and areas of expertise.

Engage the impacted community in the project through Global Ethics and Compliance and business communication channels.

Manage operational activities to support the identification and operation of current risk programmes such as the creation and reporting of key risk indicators, producing monitoring capabilities and reports, identifying new opportunities risk management and assisting in the writing of reports for Governance Boards.

This role will be instrumental in maturing and maximizing the benefit of Risk Management for multiple business stakeholders at GSK .

The role will also ensure that appropriate risk and values support to business projects in order to understand and manage risk when planning significant change to business activities.

The role will deliver all elements of the GSK internal control framework, including managing the delivery of learning and communication, control design and implementation, monitoring and the documentation of associated written standards.

Your responsibilities:

  • Drive effective risk identification and de-risking programs
  • Support the execution of the policy, risk, quality and compliance agenda
  • Effectively collaborate with stakeholders in policy, risk & compliance groups such as Global Ethics & Compliance, Audit & Assurance and Quality
  • Coach and support Global Procurement employees on expectations for effective control of policy, risk and compliance, including writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, risk guidelines and keeping our My Learning trainings curriculum up to date

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years working in complex global corporate environment
  • 2+ years working in procurement, risk management, quality or related field
  • Experience of regulated environments or good working knowledge manufacturing quality
  • Demonstrate excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellent MS Office (Excell, Power Point) skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Motivate colleagues and work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change
  • Operations or Direct Procurement and policy, risk, compliance or Audit experience
  • Managing project execution
  • Working in a matrix environment
  • Quality Management Systems, or managing quality for manufacturing
  • Procurement or related certifications (e.g. CPSM, CPIM, PMP, CIPS) useful but not essential
