U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

U.S. Bank is seeking a Salesforce Senior Engineer / Architect to drive the design, development, and governance of enterprise‑scale Salesforce solutions. This role will lead complex initiatives, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, and partner cross‑functionally to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑performing CRM capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and support Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and declarative tools
  • Define and govern Salesforce architecture, including data models, security, integrations, and scalability patterns
  • Lead technical design for complex enhancements and multi‑year transformation initiatives
  • Review and guide development work to ensure adherence to Salesforce and enterprise engineering standards
  • Partner with product, enterprise architecture, security, and platform teams to align roadmaps and ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Support production operations, including incident management, root cause analysis, and system optimization
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code quality guidance to Salesforce engineers
  • Contribute to documentation, release readiness, and knowledge transfer activities
  • Ensure all deliverables follow security, compliance, and governance standards aligned with enterprise practices

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to six years of relevant experience

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Salesforce development and architecture (Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flows, security model)
  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, system integrations, and governance in regulated environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Salesforce release management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end solution design and architectural governance
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience analyzing production issues and improving system performance

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • Experience building applications using Java (Spring Boot, microservices architecture) or prior .NET development background
  • Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and building cloud-native, scalable services
  • Hands-on experience with modern UI frameworks (React) and building responsive, reusable components
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes), and DevOps practices  
  • Understanding of observability, monitoring, and enterprise security frameworks
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect) strongly preferred

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
