Join our dynamic Surgical Specialties team, where we care for patients undergoing vascular and bariatric procedures, as well as general med-surg patients based on surgical volume. Our unit flexes to meet the needs of our surgical population, offering a diverse and engaging clinical environment.

Primary Patient Population Includes:

  • Bariatric Surgery:

    • Gastric Sleeve

    • Gastric Bypass
      (Note: Not all patients are bariatric)

  • Vascular Surgery:

    • Carotid Endarterectomy (CEA)

    • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Repair

    • Revascularizations

    • Thrombectomies

    • Amputations

  • Additional Care Needs:

    • General Med-Surg patients

    • Glucommander IV insulin therapy for glycemic management

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse surgical population

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Monitor and manage post-operative recovery and chronic conditions

  • Utilize advanced tools like Glucommander for insulin management

  • Flex between patient types based on unit needs and surgical volume

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in Georgia

  • Previous experience in surgical, med-surg, or critical care nursing is a plus

  • Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
