Job Summary
• This role is responsible for conducting routine maintenance on instruments, utilizing standard chemical and laboratory instrumentation for performing analysis on materials and components. The role engages in addressing assignments that require specialized technical knowledge to resolve problems and propose solutions. The role engages in inventory handling, maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The role also supports process implementation, operational plans, and knowledge sharing with colleagues and clients.
Responsibilities
• Analyzes materials and components utilizing standard chemical and laboratory instrumentation for research & development, product development and manufacturing activities.
• Adheres to good laboratory practices, encompassing laboratory safety, instrument calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, method development, laboratory documentation, and quality system support.
• Performs routine maintenance on instruments and oversees inventory of supplies and standards.
• Exemplifies a commitment to workplace safety, completing all mandatory trainings and adhering to rigorous safety guidelines within a controlled environment.
• Possesses a good understanding of industry products, inventory systems, quality requirements and customer specifications, and maintains meticulous documentation and records in a highly accurate, timely, and thorough manner.
• Handles basic departmental administration tasks, including both production and analytical data entry.
• Acquires job skills, becomes familiar with company policies, and completes routine to moderately complex assignments/tasks, while making suggestions for continuous improvement.
• Adheres to established company, legal and regulatory standards, and guidelines, and ensures confidentiality in all dealings with company data.
• Assists in implementing new processes, supports department-level operational plans, and shares technical information with colleagues and clients.
• Solves defined problems using established procedures and delivers basic technical, administrative, or operative tasks under direct instruction and close supervision.
Education & Experience Recommended
• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in operating analytical instruments/equipment, chemical laboratory procedures, or a related field.
